The &#039;&#039;&#039;Red Hat&#039;&#039;&#039; is one of 5 helmets in the game that blocks the sun for [[Vampire (Spec)|Vampires]]. It shares the same properties as an iron helmet even though it&#039;s crafted using a leather helmet. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
It resembles a red wide-brimmed hat and is a reference to Alucard from the Hellsing series who is also a vampire. This is currently the only headgear in the mod that isn&#039;t a part of a cosplay.&lt;br /&gt;

Vampires forgo the need or ability to eat food in exchange for the ability to drink blood. Blood can be obtained by using their special 2 on a target or by drinking out of a &#039;&#039;&#039;Blood Bottle.&#039;&#039;&#039; &lt;br /&gt;

In lieu of saturation like normal humans, vampires instead directly consume blood in exchange for regeneration. This m&lt;br /&gt;

Vampires exposed to direct sunlight without a hat or out of water will incur fire damage. This, however, can be avoided by wearing a hat that blocks the sun. Namely:&lt;br /&gt;

All of these hats can be crafted using a leather helmet along with their respective dyes and other materials. They have the same armor points and durability as an iron helmet. It is important to note, that cosplay hats which block the sun cannot be tiered past iron. &lt;br /&gt;

Vampires are very well rounded in combat, with great survivability due to the direct regeneration granted through blood consumption, their passives, and being able to outheal most problems. &lt;br /&gt;

A vampire&#039;s Beatdown and Space Ripper Stingy Eyes can be very good combo starters, as well as a great jab. Vampires have exceptional combo game when paired with a stand, due to their grab allowing for insane combo extenders. &lt;br /&gt;

== NPCs ==&lt;br /&gt;
&#039;&#039;&#039;Vampires&#039;&#039;&#039; can spawn within a &#039;&#039;&#039;[[Vampire Lair|Vampire&#039;s Lair]]&#039;&#039;&#039; and have the same hp as a player with the armor of one wearing chainmail. They are the only NPC in the game currently to use the Vampire Spec.&lt;br /&gt;
